Where are you located ?
We have operated from our Cincinnati, Ohio base for more than 55 years. We have recruiting and placement contacts spread throughout the continental USA…and even a few international positions! If you are a degreed professional, we’re glad to try and help.
What experience do you have in placing candidates?
The principal with Wickjobs, Dave Wick, started in the technical placement business right out of college and has more than 30 years of recruiting expertise.
What will your service cost ?
There is no cost or obligation to you whatsoever. Feel free to conduct your search however, and with whomever, you wish. My only request is that we maintain communication.
How does the process work?
You can share your credentials with us for a specific position that you see on our site, or just to keep abreast of available positions (for when the “right one” comes along!) We emphasize the candidate and will continue to actively search for you even if the position you initially saw is filling by another candidate.
What is your privacy policy ?
Your credentials will be treated with confidentiality and respect. We do not make any information available to outside sources beyond the recruiting firms with who we have a solid relationship. You will be contacted prior to resume submission to a manufacturer.
Why is it important to know my salary ?
Virtually every position that we have access to has a target “hire range” that the employer would like to stay within. Salary is a complicated part of a company’s cost structure, and hiring ranges are typically developed to create both an opportunity for the newly hired candidate to grow into the position, as well as maintaining balance between newly hired candidates and other candidate performing the same position in the firm. By knowing your salary up-front, it enables us to better target opportunities that will meet you salary needs. Obviously, location, cost of living, attractiveness of the position, advancement potential, and other factors all play a role. Suffice to say, it very difficult for us to be effective without some direction in this area.
What information should I include about geographical preferences?
This is an often-overlooked but vitally important part of your search. Please carefully consider areas that would be potentially acceptable to you. Think in terms of “specific states” or “specific regions” or cities or whatever is true for you. Other information such as a preference for larger cities only, or areas you would NOT consider under any circumstance is helpful!
I have other questions – how can I get them answered?
Please send me an email, or contact us directly!
